Movie Making Material STILLWATER, OREGON — Two summers ago, Alexander Frederick Elkins stood out among the 250 hopefuls trying out for the Blinn College football team . Elkins ' 6-foot-3, 220-pound body was the first thing Coach Ronny Feldman noticed. Then there was his 4.5-second 40-yard sprint time. When the football drills began, though, Feldman observed that Elkins had no idea what he was doing. Feldman, who was Blinn's offensive coordinator at the time, described him as "like a lost dog." "He had no idea where he was going or how to get there, but he got there quickly." Because Elkins had never played football before, he was completely bewildered. Growing up, he played rugby. Elkins, though, was seeking for a college after graduating from Keller High School in Dallas and chose to make the move.
